All of the plastic recycled in the Chalkboard would be redundant if the packaging we used was less than eco-friendly. Because of this, we choose each of our packaging materials meticulously.
All Fasteners are Held in Biodegradable Burlap Sacks
Receive all your fasteners in a burlap bag made completely from natural fibers. The burlap bag is decomposable, but also reusable for other needs.
Information Cards and Packing Puff are Made of 100% Recycled Materials
Every Chalkboard ships in a box packed with recycled plastic. When each plastic backplate is planed, it creates a fuzz-like material perfect for shipping mediums. Furthermore, the instruction manual and thank you cards are printed on fully recycled paper. Just because we are meticulous, we seal our boxes with paper tape as well.
Fonts and Branding are Printed from T-Shirt Vinyl Off-cuts
This was a very challenging innovation no one pressured us to do, but was necessary on the basis of principle alone. T-shirts printed with vinyl create waste in the form of offcut vinyl film. Level 7 found a way to repurpose this waste by developing a technique to apply T-shirt materials to cardboard. All of our boxes are printed in house.
